Wooden signal tower built by the German Schutztruppen in South West Africa. Here, the native inhabitants rose against German supremacy, first under the leadership of Hendrik Witbooi and after his death in 1905 under Simon Copper. The German campaign under Captain Friedrich von Erckert was directed against them
