German-Italian youth camp in the Eifel, 1937
On Sunday, July 25, 1937, the German camp of the Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) was opened in Nideggen in the Eifel by HJ-Stabsfuhrer Lauterbacher. 450 Avanguardisti (boys of the ONB between 14 and 18 years), who had come to Germany through a German-Italian youth exchange, were the first guests of the community camp. The picture shows a part of the tent camp with a fireplace (right)
