A German paratrooper during a maneuver at Stendal Military Academy for paratrooper units. The soldier is wearing a so-called Knochensack and, on top, the harness of his parachute. In his hands, he is holding the rip cord with the snap hook used to hook into the rigging line on board the air plane. On his head, the paratrooper is wearing the Wehrmacht's paratroopers helmet, a variant of the M 1935 helmet
