British bombers were attacked by the aircrafts of the Fighter Squadron 1 on 18.12. during an attack on Wilhelmshaven. In the so-called Battle of the Helgoland Bight, the British lost 12 aircraft from the 24. Pilots of the German squadron paint on the tail of their Messerschmitt Me 109 fighter two air victories
