German-Polish border near Klastawe, 1938

A barrier marks the border between the German Reich and Poland. Here there is a car controlled by border policemen, in front of it there is a sign with the inscription Reichsgrenze (imperial border). Due to the Treaty of Versailles the province of Brandenburg became a border region with the border mark of Posen-West Prussia
