Grand Ducal Court Theatre in Weimar, 1908
Grand Ducal Court Theatre, built in 1825 by the architect Steiner, replaces an earlier building from 1779 which burned down in 1825. On September 3, 1825 the Court Theater opened with Rossini's Semiramide'. Today the theater is called the German National Theater and a memorial to Friedrich Schiller and Wolfgang von Goethe stands in front of it
