Soldiers of a Freikorps unit pose during the first Polish uprising in Upper Silesia with their Gewehr 98 guns and a machine gun. On the ammunition boxes in the foreground swastikas were painted as an expression of their political conviction. In the second row from below in the middle with white hat is the later SA leader Edmund Heines
