Guard unit of the German Luftwaffe in the street

The photograph from April 1935 shows the deployment of a guard unit of the new German Luftwaffe at the street corner Unter den Linden, Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. Accompanied by the spectators, the Luftwaffe soldiers walk to the changing of the guard. It was not until March 1935 that general conscription was reintroduced in the National Socialist Germany.
