Gustav Hartmann during the visit of the Opel works in Russel

On his return from Paris to Berlin, the Iron Gustav visits the Opel works in Russelsheim. There he receives an Opel cap as a gift. His horse Grasmus will be retired after the return. The Iron Gustav, aka Gustav Hartmann, took with his cab a ride to Paris and back in 1928, in order to protest against the suppression of cabs by motorized taxis. The trip attracted huge attention in the public and made Hartmann a celebrity
