In early April 1939, the Italian army occupied Albania. The commander of the Italian occupation forces, Alfredo Guzzoni, speaks to the population from the balcony of the town hall after the capture of Durazzo (or Durros). Among the audience there seem to be many supporters of the Italian fascists, who hold up slogans such as: VV [Viva] il Duce / l'armata fascista / il imperatore
