The steam locomotive William Crooks was the first railway in the state of Minnesota. It was built in 1861 and was brought from Chicago to Baltimore for an exhibition in 1927. The exhibition took place on the occasion of the one-hundred year anniversary of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad company
