Adolf Hitler receives Lieutenant Guenther Prien and his submarine crew in the Reich Chancellery in Berlin on 18 October 1939. The Leader welcomes every single member of the crew. Next to Hitler are Lieutenant Guenther Prien and Grand Admiral Erich Raeder. Prien had sunk with his U-boat U-47 the British battleship Royal Oak in the secured roads of the British Fleet, Scapa Flow, on 10.14.1939. In the picture the team is awarded with the Iron Cross of the II. Class
