Hitler, Fritsch, Blomberg and Majot Hossbach
Hitler and his entourage attend a maneuver of the Wehrmacht in Hesse. The picture shows Adolf Hitler, on his left the Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres (Supreme Commander of the Army), Werner von Fritsch, and on Hitler's left Reich Minister of War, Werner von Blomberg. The latter was appointed the first Field Marshal of the Wehrmacht this year. Between Fritsch and Hitler stands Major Hossbach, a Wehrmacht adjutant of Hitler, after whom the Hossbach Protocol was named. In this protocol Hossbach recorded Hitler's announcement to the Wehrmacht leadership that he intended to lead an aggressive war. This means that the Wehrmacht leadership's complicity in this matter could be proven during the Nuremberg Trials
