Hitler in Paris, 1940
After the occupation of France, Hitler visited Paris once in 1940 to draw inspiration from the architecture for his planned uber-Paris, the megalomaniac world capital Germania. Accompanying him for this purpose were the architect Hermann Giesler (second from left), his personal architect and armaments minister, the ambitious Albert Speer, and the sculptor and architect Arno Breker (to Hitler's right). In the second row from left: SS leader Karl Wolff, Colonel General Keitel, SA leader Bruckner, Karl Brandt, Reich leader Martin Bormann and Reich press chief Otto Dietrich
