Our picture shows the secret Memo which Adolf Hitler mailed to Reichsleiter (national leader) Philipp Bouhler, head of the Euthanasia Program and head of the Fuehrerkanzlei, and to physician Dr. Karl Brandt. In the memo, Hitler orders the men to kill mentally ill patients: Reichsleiter Bouhler and Dr. med. Brandt are hereby instructed to enhance the authority of medical doctors, whom they will specifically name, so as to enable the doctors to put to death by euthanasia those patients, whose medical condition has been examined most critically and found beyond cure by human judgement
