Home coming of the aviator Alfred Friedrich, 1913
At the airport Berlin - Johannisthal the aviation pioneer and owner of the aircraft repair plant in Strausberg Alfred Friedrich is greeted with flowers by a woman after he has successfully completed the route Berlin-Paris-London-Berlin. His plane the so-called Etrich-Taube, was built by him. The first long-haul flight Berlin-Paris-London-Berlin over a distance of 2500 kilometers in September 1913 during which the then 22 year old Alfred Friedrich with a passenger on board crossed the channel two times, represented, at that stage of development of the international aviation a tremendous achievement
