Home economics classes for girls in a showcase school
In the orangery of the Villa Umberto I in Rome (probably today's Museo Carlo Bilotti in the Villa Borghese Park) there was a home economics school with new equipment and a showcase character. The school held, among other things, infant care classes for girls, as in the picture taken on July 12, 1938. The girls learn how to wash and change newborn babies. According to the will of the Italian fascist party, the lessons were intended to prepare the girls for their role as future family mothers
