Home weaver family in misery, 1844

Silesian home weavers, who lost their work and thus their livelihoods as a result of the beginning of the industrialization. This misery was manifested in the desperate revolt of the Silesian weavers. On the left is the loom of the Silesian weavers family. The mother is in bed with an infant, the father and two other children sit next to it. In the room to the right there are two more people. The estimated date of the contemporary representation is around 1844
