Solemn unveiling of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial in Holtenau by his grandson Emperor Wilhelm II. Five years earlier, the present Kiel Canal (until 1948 Kaiser Wilhelm Canal) had been opened. In front of the podium at left: State Secretary Count Posadowsky during his speech to the Emperor. Wilhelm II is on the podium on the left, on the right is Augusta Victoria
