Italian commemoration of the entry into the First World War
On 23 May 1935, the commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of Italy's entry into the First World War took place at the Vittoriano in Piazza Venezia in Rome. In a great military ceremony, the flags of all the Italian regiments were carried to the Altar of the Fatherland'. Present were the King of Italy, the Crown Prince and Mussolini
