Italian Marinaretti endurance run through Anzio, 1937
A group of children and teenagers, dressed only in shorts and berets, walk through a street of the Colonia marina di Anzio in Italy in the summer of 1937. They belong to the Marinaretti, the marine training division within the fascist youth organization Opera Nazionale Balilla. Sports exercises such as endurance running were used by the Italian Fascists for the physical training of youth
