Jews in the camp Pithiviers in France, 1941
Jewish citizens play cards in the internment camp Pithiviers. After an edict from 04.10.1940, French authorities arrested non-French Jews, who fled for example from Austria, Czechoslovakia or Poland to France, and gathered them in camps in the area of Orleans. In May during a raid some 3, 700 Jews were arrested and delivered to camps. In the image are Jews in the camp of Pithiviers near Orleans
