The Austrian economist Joseph Alois Schumpeter (1883 - 1950), professor in Graz, Bonn and since 1932 at Harvard University. As an economist and social scientist, he developed a theory of the development of the capitalist economic system, which he explained by intraeconomic discontinuous changes brought about by dynamic entrepreneurs who innovated, achieved pioneering advantages, and induced economic recovery.
