Karl Theodor, Elector of the Palatinate (1742-99) and of Bavaria (1777-99), * Castle Droogenbosch (near Brussels) 11.12.1724, died on 16.02.1799 in Munich. He came from the house of Pfalz-Sulzbach (Duke since 1741) and joined by hereditary all the Palatinate and Bavarian possessions of the Wittelsbach in his hand. Engraving by J.G.
