King Alexander I of Yugoslavia
Alexander I Karadordevic (1888-1934), Yugoslav king. Since 1914, he was Regent for his father, Peter I of Serbia, in 1921 he was crowned king of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. In 1929 he renamed the Kingdom to Yugoslavia, dissolved the parliament and established a dictatorship. In 1934 he was assassinated in Marseilles by Macedonian and Croatian nationalists
