King George V of England in front of the St. Giles Cathedra
King George V of England (in the coach) visits Edinburgh with his wife, Queen Mary and attends a service in the St. Giles Cathedral. The St. Giles Cathedral or also High Kirk of Edinburgh was destroyed in 1385. It was rebuilt from 1487 to 1495. The first Protestant church service was held here in 1561
