King George V at the opening of the London Naval Conference

King George V opens the London Naval Conference about the delimitation of interests of the major naval powers in the Royal Gallery of the House of Lords. Right next to his throne stands the British Foreign Secretary Arthur Henderson. The naval powers of Britain, USA, Japan, France and Italy agreed on 22 April 1930, after three months of negotiations to restrict their fleet-building programme
