The Koenigsberg in Quebec, 1939
The German merchant ship Koenigsberg from the Hanseatic city of Bremen is moored in the port of Quebec. After Hitler's order to all German ships to return to their home ports, the Koenigsberg also left without delivering her already paid freight (zinc oxide for a Montreal company) and was subsequently returned by the Canadian Navy
