The old Komische Oper in Friedrichstrasse, at the height of the Weidendammer bridge (in the foreground, crossing the Spree) in Berlin shortly after its completion. The opera house was destroyed in the war and is not to be confused with the (new) Komische Oper (until 1944 Metropolitan Theater) in the Behrenstrasse (undated photo)
