Kurt Eisner
Kurt Eisner (1867-1919), leader of the USPD. He proclaimed the Munich Soviet Republic on November 7, 1918 and also served as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister at the head of a socialist majority government. Eisner was assassinated by the monarchist Anton Graf von Arco-Valley on 21 February 1919
