Double-sided sheet of an Art journal from 1896, published by the Vorwaerts-Verlag in the labor movement's newspaper (Maizeitung). Under the motto Proletarians of all countries, unite! two marches meet in the middle on May 1. The protesters on the right are working in the city, under the slogan Hurray for the 8-hour day, the protesters on the left are agricultural workers and peasants who are holding a flag with the slogan Away with the Servants Law
