The crew of the Europe is welcomed enthusiastically, when landing at the airport Baldonnel Aerodrome in Dublin. Captain Hermann Koehl, Baron Gunther von Hurnefeld and Major James Fitzmaurice had already carried out with the sister machine Bremen the first transatlantic crossing in East-West direction on 12./13.4.1928
