The picture shows workers when mounting a new company sign with Latin letters on a residential and commercial building. The law on the introduction of the new Turkish alphabet that was suggested by Mustafa Kemal Atatuerk, was adopted by the Parliament on 11.1.1928. Until 01.01.1929 all public signs, billboards, newspapers, posters and writings had to adopt the new writing system
