Large-scale use of field kitchens, 1908

In the courtyard of the XVth Army Corps Traind Depot in Strasbourg, numerous field kitchens have been prepared for the imperial maneuver in Alsace-Lorraine. In September 1908, Emperor Wilhelm II visited the first field kitchen and had the construction explained in detail with the help of a disassembled model of a field kitchen
