Lawrence Oates, a member of the Polar expedition of Robert Scott. After the expedition has reached the South Pole, all the participants of the expedition have suffered of frostbite and exhaustion. Especially a man, Captain Oats is drawn, he became a burden to his companions. As a blizzard rages, he leaves the tent, saying I am going out a bit to not to continue to be a burden to his friends
