Laying of the foundation stone for new Reichsbank building
On May 5, 1934, the foundation stone was laid for the house on Werderscher Markt in Berlin-Mitte, which served as an extension to the Reichsbank. In the morning, a few men, including two members of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, made the final preparations before the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone was to take place in the afternoon with Adolf Hitler, Hjalmar Schacht and other Nazi celebrities in front of 6000 people
