This leaflet was drawn Lucas Cranach the Elder as a pamphlet against the Catholic Church. There is a two-part pulpit. On the left is the preaching Luther, in front of him the opened Bible, on the right is a monk talking to the people below him. On the right in the foreground you can see a scene of indulgence trade. In the background are clouds and two figures associated with the clergy, looking down full of incomprehension on the people who practice indulgence trade
