The photograph shows Leipziger Strasse No. 15 in Berlin-Mitte in 1870 shortly before the demolition of the old houses. The houses housed the shop of Adolph Ellenburg, Hof-Lieferant, a shop General-Ausverkauf und Herren-Garderoben and a Lazareth'. At the place of the house a part of the new Reichspostamt was built (later the Reichspostmuseum was located here)
