Lieutenant Willibald von Stuemer counts the rifles of the Mbaruk warriors after the capitulation. Sultan Mbaruk bin Rashid had not wanted to submit to the English in East Africa and had trespassed to German territory. After negotiations with the Germans, his troops were forced to give their weapons to the German colonial administration
