The film producer Jesse L. Lasky and the actress and film producer Mary Pickford establish a new film company, the Pickford-Lasky Productions. Jesse L. Lasky became president and Mary Pickford Vice President of the new company. At the signing of the contract in Pickford's house in Los Angeles the following persons were also present, standing from left: the lawyer of the new film company Lloyd W. Wright, the actor Francis Lederer, who contributes to the first Lasky and Pickford-produced movie, the film producer Samuel Goldwyn, the sibling of Lasky, and the manager of the Film Company N.A. McKay
