Long-distance wedding in the Basilica del Carmine in Naples
On 31 January 1942, four weddings took place in the church of Santa Maria del Carmine Maggiore in Naples. On this occasion, four soldiers who were at the front for Italy were married to their wives by long-distance marriage. The soldiers gave their authority for the marriage by radio transmission.
