Ludvig Mylius-Erichsen monument in Copenhagen, 1912
The monument for the Danish polar explorer Ludvig Mylius-Erichsen (1872-1907) at the Langelinie in Copenhagen. Together with his colleagues Hagen and Broenlund he met his death during an expedition in Greenland. On one side of the granite block are depicted the three polar explorers as exhausted to death, drag a sled through the ice. The other side shows passages from the found diary of Broenlund
