First trading post of the merchant and colonial pioneer Adolf Luederitz in Angra Pequena, the later Luederitz Bay. In 1884, the German flag was hoisted in Angra-Pequena by August Luederitz, whereupon the town received the name Luederitz Bay. The photograph is from the private collection of Adolf Luederitz
