Luginsland Tower in Nuremberg, 1906
The Luginsland Tower in the Reich municipal facilities of the Nuremberg Castle. The Nuremberg inhabitants have let the observation tower built in 1377 in only 5 months directly in front of the walls of the Burggrave of Hohenzollern for observation, while the Burggrave was traveling. The tower was at that time the immediate border with the burggrave territory. The Council's intention was to observe the Burggrave's in their castle (hence the name Luginsland to look into the country'). The dispute about him led to war, which ended with an interim occupation of the Castle of the Counts
