Mahatma Gandhi (middle), leader of the Indian independence movement, during the Salt March'. Gandhi initiated the March to the Sea in order to break the British salt monopoly. The photo was taken during Munich-based journalist Walter Bosshard's trip through India, which he made under contract for the Munich Illustrated Newspaper in 1930
