Maiden voyage of the MS Deutschland on Lake Constance, 1935
The new passenger steamer MS Deutschland had its maiden voyage in early June 1935. In the picture, the ship, on which an orchestra is playing, leaves the port of Lindau for its first departure. At the harbour entrance at the base of the Bavarian Lion people watch the ship manoeuvring. Two flags hang at the new lighthouse
