Mail plane takes on in-flight air mail, 1929

A single decker aircraft Postmaster in service of the Postal Ministry is testing the possibility of picking up mail bags in flight. The mail bag is deposited on the wall and is picked up with cable and hook by the above flying machine. This would save a landing and hopefully will accelerate the air transport
