Main square and Schmalzturm in Landsberg am Lech, 1933
In the middle of the main square of Landsberg am Lech is the Marienbrunnen with a statue of Mary in 1933. Behind it, the Schmalzturm forms the end of the medieval, narrower city wall. On the left in house No. 181 is the Kaufhaus Max Westheimer, whose Jewish owner of the same name had to give up the fashion house due to pressure from the National Socialists in 1938 and emigrated to New York
