March proclamation of Louis I. 1848

Facsimile of the proclamation of King Ludwig I of Bavaria, in which he provides laws among other on ministerial responsibility, freedom of press, improvement of the electoral regulations for the stands. Due to the affair of the king with the dancer Lola Montez it came to riots, which Ludwig I. seeked to end with this proclamation. Nevertheless, he abdicated two weeks later in favor of his son Maximilian II
