Marching Exercise for Young Boys in Fascist Italy, 1933

In fascist Italy, even the youngest children, the so-called Figli della Lupa in the Balilla, learned to march in rank and file under the supervision of a youth leader. The exercise took place every Sunday. The photo was taken in 1933 near Latina in the drained and newly developed Pontine marshes
